An Influential Woman is creating positive change and inspiring others to do the same. She is engaged, driven, and impactful. She is a leader, working to build thriving, heart-centered organizations and communities.
How do I nominate someone?
Nominations for the 2021 Influential Women of Sierra Nevada are now closed. We received nominations for 85 incredible women representing so many of the great companies and organizations in our community. Voting ended on August 25. We will announce the 40 Finalists for the Influential Women Awards on August 31!
Can I nominate more than one person?
Yes, you can nominate as many people as you want, but only one per hour. Nominate someone, then come back in an hour or the next day to nominate someone else! Nominations for the 2021 Awards are now closed.
The person I want to nominate is already listed. Should I nominate her again?
There is no benefit to nominating someone more than once. But if you have information that you want to add about someone, you can either add another nomination or you can send that information to us here. We will combine information from multiple nominations to share the best profile of your nominee.
How will winners be decided?
You help decide! Voting is now closed. Thanks for the tens of thousands of votes we received! We are now compiling the votes to determine our 40 Finalists and will announce those on August 31. We will work with our Board of Advisors to review the qualifications of all of the Finalists and choose those who will receive awards. The 2021 Influential Women Awards will be based on both the voting and the recommendations of the board.
When and where will winners be announced?
We will announce 40 Finalists on our website on August 31 and then the Influential Women of the Sierra Nevada Award winners will be unveiled at the Awards luncheon in October. This luncheon will feature an inspiring keynote, the awards presentation, a networking lunch, and professional development sessions. We encourage friends, family, and colleagues to join us!
What is the Influential Women of the Sierra Nevada event?
The Sierra Nevada Influential Women Awards event will be held on October 27, 2021 at the Atlantis Casino Resort. This event will bring the community together to recognize the contributions of the Influential Women of the Sierra Nevada to their professions, philanthropy, and community. The event features an inspirational and educational keynote address and special recognition of the next generation of influential women – those young women already making a difference. The jam–packed agenda culminates with an awards luncheon and features networking, mentorship, and celebration!
What do winners receive?
Those awarded as Influential Women will receive a beautiful award trophy and will be honored at the Awards Luncheon. All finalists will be recognized in the print Influential Women event magazine. Those honored as Influential Women are also invited to special alumni events and gatherings throughout the year.
